US astronaut Terry Virts is heading back to Earth after a six-month stint on the International Space Station. During that time he’s been keeping us entertained, educated and mesmerised with his postings from his vantage point some 260 miles above the Earth with posts on Twitter and Vine where he’s known as AstroTerry.
Since his November 2014 launch he’s experienced Christmas (and Thanksgiving) in space and been on multiple spacewalks heading outside of the ISS in his spacesuit to make repairs to the orbiting outpost.
